Jennifer Laidlaw earned her MD from the University of British Columbia before finishing her residency in psychiatry. She was involved in medical education during her residency. She has presented and published papers at international conferences on subjects such as delirium screening, social media, and professionalism. She began her career at Surrey Memorial Hospital as the Head Consultation Liaison (CL), the Psychiatry Department. Her primary focus was creating a flourishing highly collaborative CL service to provide psychiatric treatment to patients in the surgical and medical units, including the Palliative and Oncology Units. She also received a Facilities Engagement grant to develop guidelines on how to manage vulnerable patients in the hospital.

She is also the Provincial Practice director for Psychiatry in BC Cancer, Clinical Associate professor at UBC, and the Past-President BC Psychiatric Association. She is an assistant professor at Tufts University School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and adjunct faculty in the UM PM&R & Family Medicine residency programs. She has had a long-standing interest in musculoskeletal research and education. She currently teaches Neuromuscular and musculoskeletal medicine to the Family Medicine residents and has ongoing research projects in musculoskeletal education, electrodiagnostic medicine, and performing arts medicine.

Dr. Pulkit Sing completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales before completing her Psychiatry Residency at the University of British Columbia. While in training she was awarded the Psychotherapy Award and an Undergraduate Teaching Award to acknowledge her achievements in these areas. She has worked in various areas of Psychiatry and is particularly interested in the field of Psycho-oncology, Addiction Psychiatry, Cardiac Psychiatry and General Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.

Dr. Nadeesha is a psychiatrist who works with adults at BC Cancer. She has a deep interest in Psycho-oncology and particularly enjoys working with older adults. She has been interested for a long time in geriatric psychiatry, and has served as a consultant at the Geriatric Psychiatry Consult Liaison Service (GPCLS) as well as the ECT Service at Vancouver General Hospital. She is an educator and mentor for medical residents and students.

Dr. Theresa Lo

Dr Theresa Lo completed medical school and psychiatry residency at the University of British Columbia. She has worked at the BC Cancer Agency, Surrey Mental Health and the UBC Sleep Disorders Centre. She has a clinical practice that incorporates psychodynamic and dialectical psychology. She is proficient in Cantonese.

Dr Karim is an active member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and was trained at Guy’s King’s St Thomas’, St George’s and St George’s Hospitals in London.
